Park

The leaves are turning
The winds are light
The grills are burning
The kites take flight

Children laughing
Ballgames played
People are walking
I'ts a beautiful day

Park

Pool

Sitting by the pool
Sweating like a fool
In the hot summer sun
Not having any fun

The kids splashing all around
I listen to thier sounds
They want me to come in
And enjoy a swim

Can't go in deep
Have to touch with my feet
Have a fear of drowning
The kids are frowning

So alone I do set
Not wanting to get wet
Sitting by the pool
Looking like a fool

Tooth Fairy

There was this little girl
Who's name was Pearl.
One day she lost her very first tooth,
She asked her daddy, "what shall I do?"

You will place it behind your pillow
then a fairy named Armadillo
will come by your bed
and place a surprise under your head

So Pearl did what her daddy told her,
and wrapped herself with her blanket made out of fur.
Then the next morning
her daddy heard a cry of warning.

Little Pearl came running
and what she had was stunning.
What he thought he had gave her was a guppy,
was then turned into a puppy.

Topic for Week of 9.28.09

Fear Untitled

The sickness, it plagues me,
I can do nothing, nothing more.
My only salvage is in my will to try
Endlessly fearful to let go and die.

Sorrow finds me in my darkest plea
I beg to be spared on my life lease.
Tomorrow will be your new day to shine
But when will your memories ponder to mine

I did not choose to let this consume me.
I did not ask for the finale to come so quick
Please don’t let life go on without me.
Stop the process; it’s so hard to succumb

Hold on, don’t leave
I cry so loud but you don’t hear me.
I never thought the pain would be so unreal,
For you, I act like it is no big deal

The cold is my only comfort
The blackness surrounds me
Alone as only I can be
I close my eyes and forever I sleep

The time to think of me is past
For you, I gave my love to.
Find your heart open and free
Move on, but please never forget me.

My First School

At the age of 4 or 5,
We did not have to spend a dime.
Walking in and sitting down,
There was always a class clown.

Joy was where I went,
It was bigger than a tent.
We had no cares in the world,
While we were trying to learn how to twirl.

We were only 4 or 5,
We were what you call one of a kind.
The playground was our favorite place,
The teachers was our base.

Joy is now no more,
Because the school got too poor
We look back and remember all the good ole days,
When we all use to play.

We are now not 4 or 5,
Which is about time.
We all grew up and went on our own ways,
And every once in awhile I'll see some friends still to this day.

My first job

My first job
At least it wasn't picking up logs
I worked at Bob's Village Market
I had to carry keys in my pocket.
Located in the small town of Wewoka, Oklahoma
Where you didn't have to have a diploma
My manager's name was Tommy
He still lived at home with his mommy.
The store was located on 1st street
Where occasionally there where leaks.
I started working when I was sixteen
Of course a convenient store wasn't my dream.
Even though my job wasn't cool
It got me money through High school.
J. Rafi

My First Job

My first job wasn't very cool
I worked everyday after high school
all I did was grind meat
So all the people of Wynnewood could eat
I know my first job wasn't very great
but hey, you have to start somewhere
no matter what it takes.

Germs

Germs are mean
they can definitely keep you lean
No matter where you stare
they are everywhere

Some germs are good
some germs are bad
they can create a mood
and even make food

Walk in the Park

I love to walk in the park
as long as its not in the dark
It's great exercise as long as it's not too hot
when I'm a big glass of water is what sought!

My first job

My First Job

Needed a job to get some dough
but little did I know I'd hate this so
I soon decided instead of a job
I'd stay at home & be a slob

My parents said fine
but there'd be no dimes
No gas to drive fast
so, that did not last

Soon this slob got another job!

Fear of germs and sickness

Bacterial soap, hand sanitizer, 3 times per day baths,
This fear of germs and sickness is the kick in my glass,
That may help support the consequences of my past,
Lysol spray, I say hey I am still sick today.
Bargain shoppers a dime a dozen,
this purple glass comes by the dozens,
And when all this time I thought we were suppose to get down with the sickness,
whoo ah ah ah ah

Walk in the Park

As I walk in the park I come upon some grass,
So I choose to sit on my ass,
As i gaze upon the grass I see it is not so clean,
for this grass was the grass they so call weed.
Oh Wow! This is truly grass indeed.

My First Job

My first job was at Doc's
They made me break down a box

At first I didn't like it and wanted to quit
But never did I throw a fit

I started to cook and thought it was cool
Until I realized that my boss was a tool

After four years I finally had enough
So telling my boss to screw off wasn't tough

Peacefully By the Pool

The water is cool
Oh I'm so full
Lieing out by the pool
A day without boys, they are all just tools

Dark Night

As I walk through the park

It begins to get dark

I hear a bark

"No doggie" I say,

I don't want to play

I hurry to my car

I feel someone start to stare

I see a strange man

I hope he doesn't have a plan

My First Job

I worked in the park
it was just a lot of bark
I went up one hill and
down another.
All i seen was a tree and ground
maybe a leaf or two.

I moved sand and bucks of rocks
made everything pretty
I trimed a bush and cut a tree
but all in all its a enjoyable place to be

I know i hated it then but
when it was over i missed it
so when going to the park think
of me

First Job

Saving lives was what I was trained to do
Even though some days I really didn't want to.
Making sure everyone was safe
I just sat at my base.

Even as I got to sit at the stand
I did get a good tan.
Sunglasses, sunscreen, and a whistle
And got very happy when we gave the dismissal.

Saving lives was what we were trained to do
Even thought we basically had to.
Safety first was always on our minds,
It came down to it that it didn't matter what kind.

My First Job

I worked at the village market
It was nothing like a Target
It was just a crappy convience store
That had a broken front door

All the customers were a bunch of weirdos
Some came in just for Cheetos
Others came in for ice cream
Most of them made me want to scream

It was the worlds easiest job
My bosses name was Bob
Last I heard he had closed it forever
I wish him well in his next endeavor

A day in the Park

I step onto the sidewalk and let my journey begin,
Instantly my hair becomes tousled in the wind.
I slip my hands in my pockets, searching for heat,
The late autumn chill will not be my defeat.

Walking along, my thoughts search for him
I remember the first time I saw his grin.
His gorgeous curls, and bold eyes of deep blue,
Like a perfect angel for me to hold onto.

I glance to my left, at the playground full of grace,
My memories of him send a smile to my face.
The sound of laughter trickles out full of happiness and glee,
I push myself to walk ahead; it won’t be long until it is three!

I walk amongst the most brilliant autumn you have ever seen,
Deep red, orange and gold leaves shatter endlessly from the trees.
I think of the curiousness he will feel,
When we walk up to Mass Mountain of delight and appeal!

I temporarily leave the park, as three is near,
I wait impatiently to surprise my wonderful little dear.
Full of energy and excitement from his day at school,
We talk and laugh as I drive to someplace new.

In the park again, walking hand in hand,
I stop and zip up the jacket of my little man.
Around the bend, past the playground,
“Oh mom, look!” he says full of astound

He rushes the pile of leaves with color flying through the air,
With no time to waste, he jumps without care.
Laughter trickles out full of happiness and glee,
I receive an afternoon of delight, full of love and memories.

Down by the Beach

Down by the beach I suck up the rays like a beach,
peach snops upon the beach,
tipsy on the beach I see the sea,
in that sea I see how tipsy I can really be,
sea beach, see beach, I can see oh boy if you could just see me.

A sandy beach

Walking along the ocean's shore,
I leave with my thoughts of him from before.
The waves proceed to touch my feet,
I feel the texture of the sandy beach.

Forward I go, numbly I walk,
aimlessly ahead I venture in thought.
Why did it happen, why to me?
I finally break down and hit my knees.

The water creeps up, cold and fast,
it awakens my senses, I remember my past.
The accident, the scene, the horrid aftermath.
I cry aloud in my salt water bath.

Gently the ocean pulls back from my side,
I feel the warmth of the beach waiting to be dried.
I wonder about the sand, the eagerness it feels,
The need it has to shine and glisten is surreal.

But that need comes with the reality of life's consequence,
it will only be so long before it's under the ocean drench.
I realize I too must live my life, it is time,
holding my breath and waiting for my moment to shine.

First Job

Out of High School,
I was fresh.
Shoes I loved,
I worked at Payless.

Noon to close,
I cleaned the aisles.
Checking out your shoes,
All with a smile.

People were slobs,
they always left a mess.
I would clean up hundreds of shoes,
all at Payless.

I did my job with sweat on my brow,
I worked my butt off for 6.10 an hour.
But eventually I quit, as a new dream became clear.
I found a job where travel is dear!
American Airlines hired me with a salary of bliss,
but I will never forget my days working at Payless.

Amusement Park Day

At Frontier City
when I was five
I got on a ship
and barely survived.
It went up and down
and swung to and fro
that's when I puked
on the people below.
When the ride ended
my aunt carried me away
and that was the end
of my amusement park day.

Down by the Pool

Down by the pool
I was getting a tan,
battting my eyes at a handsome young man.
He flirted with me
as we swam in the pool.
I giggled at him
while he tried to act cool.
What I didn't know
was that he would change my life,
because the boy at the pool
made me his wife.

First Job

At my first job
I served burgers and fries,
refilled the cokes
and cut up the pies.
Working like crazy
I was collecting the tips,
I'd put them in the pouch
that was attached to my hips.
Bussing the tables
and doing the dishes,
I was able to buy all of my wishes.
Rich at the time,
but now I'd be poor
cause the tips really sucked
at Burgers-N-More.

First Job

When I was younger
I had a hunger
And to satisfy
I went and served up fries

A hair net I was required to wear
To cover up my long hair
All day long ,there I stood
wondering if I looked good

And even though I smelled of grease and smoke
I was no longer broke

After a few months had gone by
I wanted to cry
Because every moment I was awake
I dreaded the burgers and fries I had to make

Even though serving burgers was hard
In the end, it got me my first car

Park Job?

I'll make up for not posting anything. So here is both poems one for Jobs and the other for Parks!

Job:

There once was a job in Wal-Mart.
To walk around and look.
Keep an eye on people,
to make sure there are no pocketiers
They have their walkie-talkies
and huddle up together to
put an ambush on the pocketiers!

On to the Park:

We have a creepy park,
you do not walk alone.
There are heffalumps and woozels

lurking in the dark.
For if you walk alone,
you must have a spark.
To run around the park.

Community Park

See the squirrels gathering nuts for the winter
Sitting here wondering when I will see the first snow
Not in any hurry to see it snow, just wondering
Watching the kids enjoy the last of the summer
playing on the jungle gym or swinging on the swingsets
Do they realize summer is almost over, probably not.
The leaves are already changing colors
I enjoy watching all the seasons change in the park.

Community Park

Swing high, swing low,

Start at the top and down you go.

Look up and watch the sky,

Children laughing, run and hide.

Sunshine and warmth of the day,

Benches full of talk about the play.

Mothers kissing scrapes,

Teenagers on roller skates.

This is a place memories start,

This is my community park.

Lousy Job for Me

I had a really lousy job one time
I couldn't make it rhyme

My First Lousy Job

I had a bad job once
I hated it all day long
